MANOS BLOCK-OF-THE-MONTH AFGHAN* $25/session
Laurie will be guiding you through a different block each month, using the gorgeous Manos del Uruguay Classica. Using the “Four Seasons Afghan” book, you’ll do 12 blocks in colors of your choice. Our sample is done in “Spring”. If you sign up for 6 sessions, you’ll GET ONE FREE! Except for the first session, Jan.17th, they will be the 2nd Tuesday of every month. Book included in fee. INTARSIA * $45
With Intarsia knitting, blocks of color are worked with separate “butterfiles” or bobbins of yarn, producing knitting only one layer thick. Since you are not limited by stranding the yarn behind (as in Fair Isle), just about any motif can be put in a knitted piece with this technique. Successful Intarsia knitting takes some forethought and organization. In this class you’ll learn all sorts of tricks to make it easier and you’ll do a small sample.
